James D. Garvey, Jr.
Mr. Garvey is Of Counsel to the firm in the Metairie office and has been with Hailey McNamara since 2006. His practice consists primarily of insurance law, personal/commercial property litigation. Mr. Garvey also practices in the areas of commercial transportation, product liability, premises liability and general casualty litigation. He has represented parties in complex litigation, including products liability and workmanship claims against contractors and sub-contractors. He has participated in the defense of several class actions, including cases arising out of Hurricane Katrina.
Admissions and Affiliations
Mr. Garvey was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1992. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. Mr. Garvey is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also an elected member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE).
